Is it possible to configure the ports to handle a range of port numbers, e.g. 49152:65534 to allow passive on FTP? I've tried using the above and also 49152-65534 but the app refused to boot.

A temporary solution would be to connect your ftp server to the aux terminal on the PS8. Any traffic that doesn't match ports set on out1-8 gets forwarded there.

I found some difficulties when I setup the INSSL and PS8 to monitor different web interfaces of the other appliances(INSSLR,HALB,). My requirement is, through INSSL I can request for different web interfaces by giving different tcp port with INSSL ip address, then this ports are get redirected to the corresponding appliances web in terminals.
So pleas help me to solve this configuration problem.

Thanks and Regards.

Haridas,

I am not sure I fully understand the problem - can you please confirm I understood it correctly.

You are trying to use INSSL and PS8 to provide non-grid users with access to the user interfaces of HALB and MYSQLR (I assume you meant MYSQLR as INSSLR does have a ui input). For example, you would want to have port 8000 provide HALB's user interface and 8001 to provide MYSQLR's user interface.

See the uses cases of INSSL and PS8; here's a summary:

To do this, connect the aux terminal of INSSL (or INSSLR) to PS8's input; configure INSSL's properties as follows: l3_accept_proto to 'tcp' and l3_accept_port to 8000:8001 (in order to allow ports 8000 and 8001). Make sure that l7_accept_proto is correctly set (to http, https, both or none), as well as the other required properties (ip_addr, netmask, gateway).

Set PS8's properties as follows:
- out1_protocol to 'tcp', out1_in_port to 8000, out1_out_port to 80 (as expected by HALB's ui terminal)
- out2_protocol to 'tcp', out2_in_port to 8001, out2_out_port to 80 (as expected by MYSQLR ui terminal)

That should do it - let me know if it helps.

Best regards,
-- Peter
