Hi,
I can see potential for overlap in actions by maintainers, and was wondering if the dashboard Messages section could be extended to include near realtime updates (as far as is practical) of what's going on in the grid. E.g. if an app fails to start, it shows on any currently open GUI (as well as an idea of which maintainer kicked off the action).
Kind of like the tasks/events portion of VMWare's Virtual Center client. I think that would be useful.
if bandwidth is a concern (e.g. making a lot of XMLHTTPRequests is not desirable because you're managing your grids over a dodgy 3G connection while sitting at the beach), make it possible to turn off event updates on a per session basis.
Cheers
