Hi,
My laptop is the only computer I've found that can't run the applogic web editor. It's a mac ppc laptop. There is a twin to it in our office that runs the editor just fine. Besides verifying the version of java (which I've done) what could be interfering? I've tried firefox 2 and 3. Any advice appreciated.
Thank you,
Chris

Chris,
Java shouldn't matter -- it is used only by the VNC console.
Otherwise, just make sure you have the latest Firefox (3.0.6; 3.0.4 also works; haven't tried 3.0.7 - just saw it has come out). Make sure Javascript is enabled fully (the editor is all AJAX). Beyond that... maybe you can try looking at the browser error console and send what you see there -- it can help us figure out what's not working.

Chris,
i have had the same problem and finally found out that the problem was a mouse gesture tool i had installed as an add-on. after uninstallation firefox worked fine in versions 3.0.6 and 3.0.7

I haven't solved this yet but when I do I'll post the answer

csgno1,
This is weird; do you have any (a) Firefox plugins and (b) any unusual filtering software (proxy, malware)? Any retained settings / blocking Javascript / cookies / popups?
If all fails, we do have a next version of the editor -- which one of our developers was using on 2.4.8 -- it is not QA'd with the release but generally works and brings support for Safari and Chrome (which will be available in the next release). If you have a grid on which you may want to try this, let me know -- it is a bit of a cannon to shoot this issue, but it's up to you.

Thanks, I can wait for the official release, it's just a bit inconvenient, not a show-stopper

csgno1,
The upcoming beta release is in QA and if you'd like to verify that it resolves the issue, let me know. Safari and Chrome support are added; there may still be some quirks for those. I can offer a quick access to one of our QA grids to see if the editor is now working for your mac ppc laptop.
Best regards,

Peter, I'd be happy to help QA Safari if you guys need it. I've been DYING for Safari support.

Mike, more good stuff -- I just heard we are getting the full Safari-on-Mac support in the upcoming 2.7 production release.
