We have a small team working on a feasibility study of using applogic as deployment platform for some of our production applications. During this study process we found, it would be very helpful for us and may also be helpful for the applogic users community, if the following generic appliances are available in the system catalog.
1) CENTOS4.5 Appliance
2) PCI compliant firewall appliance
3) JBOSS web/app server appliance
Please add your thoughts.

Hari,
Thanks.
1) Will CentOS 5 work for you? We are currently preparing a set of catalog appliances based on CentOS 5 for inclusion in the next release. Those are also available now for beta testing to anyone with AppLogic 2.0 beta (request here or on GridU).
2) Researching what is available at the moment... Anyone who knows of good PCI compliant firewall software (esp. OSS), please post here.
3) We are looking into this - JBOSS app server is on our future appliances list. In the meantime, we will be happy to assist you with creating your own JBOSS appliance class. I know quite a few AppLogic users have built their own... please post here.

I know this is kinda old, but here is no such thing as a PCI compliant firewall. PCI requires you to use a firewall, but does not specify anything other than that, and that you must use egress filtering. Hope that helps someone.
