The following document complements the AppLogic documentation on creating Windows appliances:
https://support.ca.com/phpdocs/0/common/impcd/r11/Cloud/doc/applogic_win_appliance_creation_ex_companion.pdf
This document was written by someone while they were learning AppLogic and covers the basics of appliance creation step by step. It does not cover higher level details of making something a provisionable template, but does cover the basics of appliance creation.
Best regards,
- Peter

Hello folks,
Stay tuned - there will be an updated version of this document (3.X specific) that will be published sometime this month that takes a deeper dive in to the steps and considerations required to make appliances. In addition, we have updated the examples to be in line with the content we've produced for the Cloud Commons Marketplace.
I will update this thread when it is available.
Regards,
Greg

Hi Greg and Peter, I am looking at completely rebuilding our base Windows Server 2008 R2 appliance installation to be fully hardened to DISA specs (http://iase.disa.mil/stigs/stig/index.html). This detailed guide you speak of in this thread would be of great value - any news on it?
Thanks, Andy

Hello,
The document has recently completed its final peer review and has now been handed over for final clean up & publication. I expect this will be ready in about two weeks. When it is complete it will be published to the Cloud Commons help center (www.cloudcommons.com) and I am placing a reminder in my calendar to make sure I update this thread. Stay tuned...
Regards,
Greg
