mon - long term data

It would be really great to see long term data in the monitoring app. Not just the past 5 or 10 minutes, but all available data broken down into some appropriate default increment. As an example, how catci does it is pretty great:

From a prior thread: http://forum.3tera.com/showthread.php?p=1357#post1357 I know that there is something in the works. Is this type of feature included in that? Has there been any progress made or a more tangible timeline yet?

Not on the plate at the moment. I agree it will be very good to have. We may be revamping part of MON to use RRDTool (on which cacti is based).

For now, the best alternative is to deploy cacti, nagios or any other similar monitoring tool in an appliance and use the MON aux terminal to collect the data you want to keep history for.

I will post here when history keeping makes it into immediate plans for MON directly.
