The hf2425 hotfix resolves network performance issues with AppLogic 2.3.9 under heavy load. It corrects a configuration problem that causes slowdown and packet drop during high traffic.
This hotfix should be installed on all 2.3.9 grids; the hotfix can be installed without requiring grid restart. See the hotfix section of the release notes (http://doc.3tera.com/AppLogic23/ReleaseNotes-2-3-9.html#Hotfixes_for_AppLogic_2_3_9) for details.
Version info:
AppLogic 2.3.9 - affected, requires hotfix hf2425
AppLogic 2.3.8 - affected, upgrade to 2.3.9 and install hf2425
AppLogic 1.x/2.1/2.2 - not affected
You can see whether the hotfix is installed on your grid by looking at the "AppLogic Version" string on the grid dashboard. It should look something like this: "AppLogic Version: 2.3.9 hf2425". If it doesn't, you can request the hotfix to be installed by your service provider.
If experiencing lower network performance on 2.3.x even with the hotfix installed, please also see the notes on setting up correctly the bandwidth resources (http://forum.3tera.com/showthread.php?t=307) in your appliances and applications, as bandwidth resource specifications are enforced in 2.3 (they were not enforced in earlier versions).
