Starting July 15 GridU (http://www.3tera.com/Grid-Computing-University/) kicks off with seven new sessions (http://www.3tera.com/Grid-Computing-University/calendar.php)on the new AppLogic release 2.3 (http://doc.3tera.com/AppLogic23/ReleaseNotes-2-3-8.html). GridU attendees will get first hand experience in what the new features in the 2.3 release (July 15) – including support for new OSes, changes to the user interface and additions of new appliances and application templates.
Hands on sessions on how to configure applications (July 17), provision a new application (July 22) and build appliances using the new Appliance Kit – APK (July 24) together with issues on how to handle Automation (July 29) and use the new MySQL replication template for adding a clustered database to an AppLogic application (July 31) are just few of the new topics at GridU this month.
Also starting July 15 GridU session times will change to cover a wider audience in different time zones. There will be one morning session every Thursday at 10 am PST and one afternoon session at 3pm PST every Tuesday.

The Grid Computing University is a free online training on various aspects of grid and utility computing. Targeted to new AppLogic users, 3Tera partners, or people who just want to get a better feel of what grid and cloud computing is all about, Grid University is the easiest way to learn. Classes are taught by experienced 3Tera application engineers and developers who are building and troubleshooting grids and grid applications for a living.
In the last months GridU had hundreds attendees in the weekly training sessions. Over 700 people have accessed the recorded sessions, available online at http://www.3tera.com/Grid-Computing-University/
All you need to attend classes is a browser and a broadband Internet connection. Best of all, Grid University is free!
