The AppLogic 2.9 beta release provides autonomic operation with the new addition of Network High-availability, allowing reliable operation in the event of network-related failures. When a network failure occurs, all servers in the grid remain operational and all applications/appliances continue to operate uninterrupted.
In addition, 2.9.1 also includes:
* External IPs can now be enforced by AppLogic for appliances that use external interfaces.
* The storage health monitoring feature introduced in AppLogic 2.7 has been re-enabled in the AppLogic 2.9 beta.
* Various catalog software upgrades; LUX, LINUX and VDSes were re-based on CentOS 5.4
* MYSQLR has been re-added to the system catalog
* Support for the 3tera AppStore, an e-commerce site offering AppLogic appliances and application templates
* AppLogic 2.9 is compatible with existing applications built for AppLogic 2.8, 2.7, 2.4 and 2.1.
