The documentation mentions an URL switch (url_sw) appliance that would be handy to have and also it mentions a Zimbra appliance but I don't see these in the factory default catalog's or apps on my grid.
I wonder if you guys could setup a small grid just for the purpose of migrating some of these useful appliances 1-way, ie, from appliance repository to customer grid. Or possibly an ftp/http site containing the exports of these appliances would work just as well.

This way we would not have to clutter our list of appliances with everything we might potentially use, but could migrate them onto the grid as needed.

It might also be cool to have a way for people to share custom appliances and possibly even license them to each other, eg, I could see an easy to use zenoss appliance as something I might pay a small fee to avoid having to setup myself except for connecting a few interface ports....

Jody,

Those appliances are usage examples, not existing catalog appliances (some of them we are going to be building over time); of course, whatever's missing, you can create or hire someone to create -- check also the integration partners on our web site.

All existing appliances, except the dynamic appliances, are currently installed on all grids. If you need one of the dynamic appliances, we can arrange for it. I like the idea of the small grid for catalog downloads.

We will be happy to facilitate any appliance exchanges as well; one of the forums here is dedicated to the topic, so if you have any appliances you want to share or are looking for, please post into the App / Feature Requests.
