http://doc.3tera.com/AppLogic27/CliServer.html#AnchorDisable states that "server disable" does not affect the operation of appliances, and coupled with other documenation, applicances need to be stopped and restarted for the disabled server to be removed from the grid. Is this still the case? http://www.scribd.com/doc/2054617/AppLogic-Technology states that a server only needs to be marked as disabled and the applicances will be migrated (live?) away from the server.

alevy4,
The documentation is correct -- you need to restart the appliances manually (or by script) after disabling the server. If you restart the affected apps, the scheduler will automatically exclude the disabled server and place the appliances on other servers.
Live migration is still something we will include in a future version of the product, as well as a command to force the evacuation of the server (may be an option to 'server disable' or a separate command).
Best regards,
