View Full Version : DRBD and applogic kernel?

Hi,

I'd like to implement an HA solution for mysql using DRBD. This requires a kernel module for which there is a CentOS RPM available, but it's unclear whether that's going to work with the applogic kernel. The module would clearly be loaded at runtime, it doesn't require a kernel rebuild or anything.

Can someone let me know if this is possible, and what the gotchas are if it *is* possible?

Thanks.
brian.

Brian,

It is possible to load it into the kernel, but if it is not compatible with our kernel for Xen, You may have to recompile the kernel with our kernel headers.

The only way to see if it is compatible is to try it. I recommend you try it on a test appliance first.

This is a link to a thread about our kernel source if it does not end up being compatible.
