Hi all,

In my application, I've decided not to use the 'mon' device (in favor of some other standard tools like snmp traps, mrtg, and nagios). What I'd like to know now is:

1. is it safe to kill off the 'cca' processes running on all of my appliances?
2. is there any gotchas in getting that process to *not* start up at boot time?

Thanks.

jonesy,

Yes you can kill these processes without any problems, as long as you have branched the class to do so.

If the class is not branched it will be written back in as a default if you ever clean the app.

No "gotchas" at all.
