What I realized in Applogic is when you loose your controller the whole grid goes down and you seem to loose every thing ?

My point of view that loosing a controller shouldn't be a problem for the grid It should be easy to bring back the grid online by just installing a new controller or moving it to a new server that detects the nodes without any problem Do you have any plan for solving that from my point of view is there some thing that I m missing here ?

Can you please also elaborate on the controller rule on the grid and the type of communication between the controller and the nodes ?

tamir,

The controller issue has been resolved in AppLogic 2.7 beta, with the production version coming in a couple of weeks. You can now reboot the controller without affecting apps; if the server on which the controller operates fails, AppLogic will start a new controller elsewhere and it will essentially re-acquire the running applications. This is no longer an issue. We have also improved many other autonomic operations issues, including early warnings of disk failures, many continuous self-tests, etc.

Mike,

Thanks -- this now works really well. Everyone has been very patient.

Next will be to get the upgrades going everywhere...
