Hi,
I'm provisioning an application from a template that has a root_pw parameter. Is there a way I can use special characters like @#%$ in the password? I tried single and double quoting the password, but that didn't work.
Thanks!

Daniel,
Due to certain security reasons you can not use special characters when provisioning an application in the command line. For now make a password using letters, but once you have provisioned the new application you can then change the root_pw property to use special characters from the applogic GUI.
To do this: Once the app is finished provisioning open up the app in the applogic web GUI, then right click anywhere in the canvas of the application that is not taken up by an appliance. Then click on "Application Configuration" from the list that appears. The window that opens will have tabs across the top, click the "Property Values" tab. In here you will find the root_pw property (also any other properties you may want to change), edit it to how you would like it to be. Click the OK button in the bottom left of this window. Then save your application. This should give you the results you are looking for.

Joseph,
Please open a defect on this issue -- the character set of string property values should not be constrained in any way. This should be resolved in the next AppLogic release.
Thanks,
