We have received reports of hf2900 preventing multicast/broadcast traffic through appliance external interfaces.
If confirmed, this has impact primarily on uses of external interface with private, RFC1918, addresses, e.g., when used to cluster as for JBOSS app server cluster and similar. In most typical use, WAN traffic does not use multicast, so the impact is limited.
We're investigating this with the customer and will post notes here.
