Can we adjust the resources of running apps?
If so, how?

Currently, resource adjustment requires app or appliance restart.
Live change would be supported in version 2.0 or 3.0.
Please see documentation topic OpsManual for further information.

Let me add a bit more here...
1. You can change resource assignments permanently or only for this run of the application. To change the resources permanently, either use the shell 'app config' command, or use the GUI to configure the application resources; then restart the application (the whole app, not individual appliances).
2. To change the resources for a given run only:
- use 'app restart cpu=5 mem=600M' to change quickly the resources for the app as a whole. The app will be restarted with the new resources.
- use 'comp restart cpu=0.5 mem=512M' to change the resources of an individual appliance. The appliance will be restarted with the new resources.
For more info, see the OpsManual. See the shell reference for more scheduling options for the 'start app' and 'start comp' commands. For making the changes permanent, see the 'app config' command, as well as the Application Configurator and Instance Settings screens of the GUI.
