You bet -- no timeline at the moment. Do you know the right software for it (there seem to be too many options) and/or someone who is familiar with configuring IPSec gateways to work with at least the top 3-5 hardware VPN solutions?

All our software based VPN usually use m0n0wall, which AFAIK uses Racoon - it's not perfect but it does tend to work with the hardware based ones we've got in our offices.

We have build IPSEC VPN appliance and tested it with Cisco.
I will post more details as we get it documented. It based on linux-IPSEC.

Will it be available for 2.4.8 grids too? We have customers who will not be upgrading to 2.7 until it is fully stable, but who are interested in the appliance after seeing it in a Grid University demo.

I believe this appliance will work OK for 2.4.8 -- in fact it was built and tested originally on 2.4. You can request it via our helpdesk, please post a link to this thread in the ticket. We would love to hear how it works for you and your customers.
