AppLogic 2.4.8 is a minor update of AppLogic and superseded AppLogic 2.4.7.
This release provides fixes for several defects found in AppLogic 2.4.7 since its release on Dec 24, 2008. These defects include:
SCR 2280: grid controller may become unresponsive (also affects other appliances)
SCR 2727: balloon connections are not shown properly under Firefox 3.0.5 and later
SCR 2736: application list may fail in cases where a component is stopped during the list operation
SCR 2738: a failed "comp start" could cause subsequent app start failures
SCR 2745: server reboot/shutdown commands do not fail if there are running appliances or shared volumes on the server
SCR 2753: metering client does not generate UDL-compliant reports (internal improvement, no user-visible effects)
These fixes are also available as a hotfix for AppLogic 2.4.7 (hf2761, see http://forum.3tera.com/showthread.php?t=1001 and why an upgrade to AppLogic 2.4.8 is recommended).
A note to AppLogic service providers and direct licensees: In addition, the release also includes an additional check for BIOS updates on certain servers (SCR2760, see also http://forum.3tera.com/showthread.php?t=861). Note that this check does not cover all possible BIOS versions that need upgrades, so please check the BIOS version and your server vendor's web site prior to installing AppLogic on the server.
